  1. NEET-UG:

The National Eligibility Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to attend MBBS in various top undergraduate medical colleges. NEET-UG include courses such as MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses.

NEET-UG is one of the most competitive and largest medical entrance exams in India for admission in MBBS course. NEET-UG exam takes place once a year. It is an offline pen and paper exam of 200 minutes time duration. NEET-UG consists of three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

It contains a total mark of 720 where four marks received for correct answer and one mark deducted for incorrect answer. As per latest reports over 20 lakhs candidates appear in this medical entrance exam in India, among which there are 1 lakh MBBS seats, 24,949 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats and 249 JIPMER seats in medical and dental colleges.

NEET-UG COUNSELLING:

The Medical Counselling Committee conduct NEET counselling. Based on the scores the college or university selection takes place. There are 15% AIQ seats in government colleges and 100% for central universities, AIIMS and JIPMER.

  • 15% seats of States for MBBS/BDS
  • 100% seats of BHU for MBBS/BDS
  • 100% seats of AIIMS across India for MBBS

The National Eligibility Composite Test- Postgraduate (NEET-PG) is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). NEET-PG is a national level medical entrance exams in India. NEET-PG include courses like MD, MS, Post MBBS, DNB, MBEMS Diploma, and PG Diploma. This medical entrance exam in India takes place once in a year for admission in various universities and colleges based on the candidate’s performance in the medical entrance exam.

There are around 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS) and 922 PG Diploma in 6,102 government, private and central universities. NEET-PG COUNSELLING:

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET-PG 2024 counselling for 50% AIQ (All India Quota Seats), central universities and ESIC/AFMS colleges. The rest 50% is conducted by state counselling authority. The students who qualify in the medical entrance exams in India of NEET-PG will only get a chance to participate in counselling process.

  1. NEET-MDS:

The National Eligibility Composite Test- Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS) is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). NEET-MDS is a national level medical entrance exam in India for masters in dental. NEET-MDS include courses like MDS/PG Diploma (Dental). This medical entrance exam in India takes place once a year. The admission in various universities and colleges is based on the candidate’s performance in that medical entrance exam in India.

There are around 6,228 Master of Dental surgery (MDS) in 259 dental colleges around India. It is an online exam with a time duration of 3 hours which include 240 questions of 960 marks. In this medical entrance exam of India 4 marks is received for correct answer and 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer.

NEET-MDS COUNSELLING:

This medical entrance exam takes place once a year for admission in various universities and colleges based on the candidate’s performance in the medical entrance exam in India.

There are around 2,447 Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgie (MCh) seats in 156 institutions all over India. It is an online exam with a time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes which include 150 questions. 4 marks received for correct answer and 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer.

NEET-SS syllabus:

The syllabus for the medical entrance exam in India for NEET-SS exam is not fixed. It includes all the topics that have been covered during the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

  1. AIAPGET:

The All-India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). AIAPGET is a national level medical entrance exam in India. AIAPGET include courses like PG (MS/MD) courses of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH). This exam takes place once a year for admission in various universities and colleges based on the candidate’s performance in the medical entrance exam in India.

There are around 2274 PG seats for Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and homeopathy courses offered by certain universities. It is an online exam with a time duration of 3 hours which include 120 questions of 480 marks. 4 marks received for correct answer and 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer.

AIAPGET syllabus includes:

AIAPGET COUNSELLING:

The AYUSH Admission Central counselling Committee (AACCC) will conduct AIAPGET counselling for central quota seats. The students who will qualify in AIAPGET will only participate in counselling for the medical entrance exam in India. They will get universities based on the rank received in the medical entrance exam in India.

  1. FMGE:

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE). FMGE is a national level medical entrance exam in India. FMGE is a licensing examination. This medical entrance exam in India takes place twice a year for the screening of Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India (OCI) who have obtained their medical degrees from foreign countries and wants to practice medicine in India.

The candidate has to obtain 50% marks in this medical entrance exam in India. It is an online exam with a time duration of 300 minutes which include 300 questions of 300 marks. 1 mark received for correct answer and zero mark deducted for incorrect answer.

FMGE PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION:

The candidates who qualify the FMGE 2024 medical entrance exam in India are required to apply for provisional or permanent registration. They have to register to the secretary of medical council of India for FMGE provisional registration. The qualified candidates in the medical entrance exam in India gets a one year of internship.
